A university student re-discovers his repressed psychic abilities. When he becomes the subject of a documentary, he must re-integrate warring parts of himself to avert a crisis that threatens the lives of his friends. In the style of Cloverfield, Project 17 is presented as the documentary the director has been able to cut together from salvaged footage after the filming falls apart. Project 17 is about overcoming inner obstacles, about finding one’s true self, about the courage to risk change, and about being true to one’s gifts despite societal persecution.
